| 1/2 | cups | Butter or Shortening | | 1 1/2 | cups | Sugar | | 2 | | Eggs | | 2 | cups | Flour | | 1 | tsp | Vanilla | | 3 | | Bananas, mashed | | 1 | cup | Nuts, dusted with flour | | 1 | tsp | Baking Soda | | 2 | tsp | Baking Powder | | 1/4 | tsp | Salt | | 1/2 | cups | Milk | | | *To make 3 layers, add 1/4 of everything.* |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Cream butter and sugar, add 1 egg at a time, beating continually. | | 2. | Sift flour, soda, powder, and salt 3 times and add alternately with milk. | | 3. | Add mashed bananas, nuts and vanilla. | | 4. | Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
