| Ingredients: |
| 1 1/2 | cups | Flour, sifted |
| 1 | tsp | Salt |
| 2/3 | cups | Sugar |
| 1/2 | cups | Seedless Raisins |
| 1/2 | cups | Light Molasses |
| 2 | tsp | Baking Powder |
| 1/2 | cups | Butter or Margarine, divided |
| 1 | cup | Milk |
| 1 | | Lemon, grated peel and juice |
| 1 1/4 | cups | Water |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Mix and sift flour, powder and salt. |
| 2. | Cream 4 tbsp butter, gradually adding sugar. Cream until light and fluffy. |
| 3. | Add milk alternately with flour mix, beating until smooth after each addition. |
| 4. | Stir in raisins and lemon peel. |
| 5. | Spoon into well-greased 8x8x2 inch pan. |
| 6. | Combine lemon juice, remaining butter, molasses and water in saucepan; bring to boil. |
| 7. | Remove from heat. |
| 8. | Pour gently and evenly over batter. |
| 9. | Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. |
| 10. | Serve warm. |
