| Peanut Butter Pie |
| (One of Grandma's Favorites!) |

| Ingredients: |
| 3/4 | cups | powdered sugar |
| 1/2 | cups | peanut butter |
| 1/2 | cups | Sugar |
| 3 | tbsp | corn starch |
| 1/4 | tsp | salt |
| 2 | cups | milk |
| 2 | | egg yolks, slighty beaten |
| | |
| 2 | | egg whites |
| 1/4 | tsp | cream of tartar |
| 1/4 | tsp | vanilla |
| 1/4 | cups | sugar |
| 1 | | pie shell |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Mix together powdered sugar and peanut butter until it crumbles. |
| 2. | Put all but approx 2 tablespoons of the mixture in bottom of baked pie shell |
| 3. | Mix and cook sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk and egg yolks until thick, stirring constantly. |
| 4. | Pour on top of crumbs. |
| 5. | Meringue: beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy, |
| 6. | Beat in sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, continue beating until stiff and glossy. |
| 7. | Do not underbeat. Beat in vanilla. |
| 8. | Put meringue on top of filling and then sprinkle with remaining peanut butter crumbs. |
| 9. | Bake at 350 until meringue is golden brown. |
