Peanut Brittle |
(One of Grandma's Favorites!) |

Ingredients: |
2 | cups | Granulated Sugar |
1 | cup | Karo |
1/2 | cups | Water |
pinch | | Salt |
2 | cups | Raw Spanish Peanuts (12 oz.) |
1/4 | cups | Margarine (1/2 stick) |
2 | tsp | Baking Soda |

Instructions: |
1. | Cook first four ingredients on medium heat until they reach soft ball temperature (238 degrees). |
2. | Add peanuts and margarine; cook to 300 degrees stirring continually. |
3. | Set off heat and add baking soda. |
4. | Stir soda in quickly just to mix in and pour mixture on a greased cookie sheet. |
5. | Cool in a cool place. |
6. | Break in pieces. |
7. | (Makes 2 to 2.5 lbs.) |
