| Peanut Brittle |
| (One of Grandma's Favorites!) |

| Ingredients: |
| 2 | cups | Granulated Sugar |
| 1 | cup | Karo |
| 1/2 | cups | Water |
| pinch | | Salt |
| 2 | cups | Raw Spanish Peanuts (12 oz.) |
| 1/4 | cups | Margarine (1/2 stick) |
| 2 | tsp | Baking Soda |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Cook first four ingredients on medium heat until they reach soft ball temperature (238 degrees). |
| 2. | Add peanuts and margarine; cook to 300 degrees stirring continually. |
| 3. | Set off heat and add baking soda. |
| 4. | Stir soda in quickly just to mix in and pour mixture on a greased cookie sheet. |
| 5. | Cool in a cool place. |
| 6. | Break in pieces. |
| 7. | (Makes 2 to 2.5 lbs.) |
