Bran Muffins
  (One of Grandma's Favorites!) 
Category: Biscuits & Bread    Kitchen of: Esther Pritchard (Auntie)
 
Ingredients:
2cups Sugar
1cup & 3 Tbsp. Crisco
4 Eggs
1quart Buttermilk
2cups All Bran
2cups Boiling Water
4cups Bran Buds
6cups White Flour
5tsp Baking Soda
2tsp Salt
 
Instructions:
1.  Pour boiling water over All Bran.
2.  Cream shortening and sugar - then eggs.
3.  Mix rest of dry ingredients; add buttermilk.
4.  Blend well.
5.  Pour into 4 quart jars.
6.  Chill.
7.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
8.  (Will keep 6 weeks in refrigerator.)
