Golden Sesame Braid |

Ingredients: |
1 1/2 | cups | Milk |
1/4 | cups | Shortening |
1/4 | cups | Sugar |
1 | tbsp | Salt |
1 | pkg | Active Dry Yeast |
1/2 | cups | Lukewarm Water |
3 | | Eggs |
7 1/2 | cups | Flour |
1 | | Egg, beaten |
1 | tbsp | Water |
2 | tbsp | Sesame Seeds |

Instructions: |
1. | Scald milk; stir in shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm |
2. | Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast, 3 eggs and 2 c. flour to milk mixture; beat until smooth. |
3. | Gradually add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Kneed on floured surface until smooth 10 minute |
4. | Place in a greased bowl; turn over to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled--about 1 1/2 hou |
5. | Divide dough into 6 parts. Roll each into a 12 inch strip. Braid 3 strips together. |
6. | Place each on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled--about 45 minutes. |
7. | Brush braids with a glaze using 1 beaten egg and 1 Tbsp water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. |
8. | Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown. |
