Golden Sesame Braid

Ingredients:
1 1/2cups Milk
1/4cups Shortening
1/4cups Sugar
1tbsp Salt
1pkg Active Dry Yeast
1/2cups Lukewarm Water
3 Eggs
7 1/2cups Flour
1 Egg, beaten
1tbsp Water
2tbsp Sesame Seeds
 
Instructions:
1.  Scald milk; stir in shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm
2.  Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast, 3 eggs and 2 c. flour to milk mixture; beat until smooth.
3.  Gradually add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Kneed on floured surface until smooth 10 minute
4.  Place in a greased bowl; turn over to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled--about 1 1/2 hou
5.  Divide dough into 6 parts. Roll each into a 12 inch strip. Braid 3 strips together.
6.  Place each on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled--about 45 minutes.
7.  Brush braids with a glaze using 1 beaten egg and 1 Tbsp water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
8.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
