Swiss Steak with Red Gravy

Ingredients:
 enough vegetable oil or crisco to lightly coat bottom of large pan
 enough regular flour to coat meat
1 med onion, chopped
1pinch salt
1pinch pepper
1/2-3/4cups catsup
1cup water (a)
3-4tbsp Wondra flour
 enough water make Wondra flour desired consistancy (b)
 
Instructions:
1.  coat bottom of large pan with vegetable oil or Crisco
2.  flour both sides of meat, put in pan and brown one side
3.  turn over, chop onion on top
4.  finish browning, drain grease
5.  add salt, pepper
6.  pour catsup around steak, add water (a) up to 1/2 height of meat
7.  simmer on low for 2 hrs until tender, adding water if it boils dry
8.  remove meat
9.  to make gravy, add mixture of water (b) and Wondra flour to pan
10.  cook till boils well and is thick enough, stirring constantly
11.  if too thick add water
