| Ingredients: |
| 2 | cups | Apples, chopped fine | | 1 | cup | Sugar | | 1 | | Egg, beaten | | 1 | cup | Flour | | 1/4 | tsp | Salt | | 1 | tsp | Baking Soda | | 1/2 | tsp | Cinnamon | | | Nuts, chopped (optional) |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Mix sugar and apples and let set for 20 minutes. | | 2. | Add egg. | | 3. | Sift together remaining ingredients. | | 4. | Add to apple mixture. | | 5. | Pour into greased and floured 8 inch square pan. | | 6. | Bake at 375 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. |
