Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:
1/4cups Butter or other shortening
1cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
1 Egg
3/4cups Flour
1tsp Baking Powder
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Vanilla
1/2cups Nuts, chopped
 
Instructions:
1.  Melt butter over low heat
2.  Remove from heat and blend in sugar then egg
3.  Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
4.  Stir dry ingredients into wet mixture
5.  Add vanilla and nuts
6.  Spread in greased and floured 9 x 9 pan
7.  Bake for 25 minutes in 350 degree oven
