| Butterscotch Brownies |

| Ingredients: |
| 1/4 | cups | Butter or other shortening |
| 1 | cup | Light Brown Sugar, packed |
| 1 | | Egg |
| 3/4 | cups | Flour |
| 1 | tsp | Baking Powder |
| 1/2 | tsp | Salt |
| 1/2 | tsp | Vanilla |
| 1/2 | cups | Nuts, chopped |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Melt butter over low heat |
| 2. | Remove from heat and blend in sugar then egg |
| 3. | Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt |
| 4. | Stir dry ingredients into wet mixture |
| 5. | Add vanilla and nuts |
| 6. | Spread in greased and floured 9 x 9 pan |
| 7. | Bake for 25 minutes in 350 degree oven |
