Ingredients: |
1/2 | cups | Shortening, softened |
1 | cup | Brown Sugar, packed |
1/2 | cups | Sugar |
2 | | Eggs |
1 | cup | Carnation Evaporated Milk, UNdiluted |
1 | tsp | Vanilla |
2 3/4 | cups | Flour, sifted |
1/2 | tsp | Baking Soda |
1 | tsp | Salt |
1 | cup | Walnuts, Coconut, Dates, Raisins, OR Semi-Sweet Choc. Chips |
2 | tbsp | Butter (b) |
2 | cups | Powdered Sugar (b) |
1/4 | cups | Carnation Milk (b) |

Instructions: |
1. | Mix shortening, sugar and eggs |
2. | Stir in can of milk and vanilla |
3. | Sift flour, soda, salt together and mix in with wet ingredients |
4. | Stir in nuts |
5. | Chill for 1 hour |
6. | Drop by spoons on greased cookie sheet |
7. | Bake for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees |
8. | For frosting -- (b) ingredients -- heat butter until it |
9. | Beat in powdered sugar and 1/4 c. Carnation milk |
10. | Frost cookies after they |
