Sweet & Dill Pickles

Ingredients:
1 gal Whole Pickles, washed (a)
1cup Pickling Salt (a)
1 gal Water (a)
1tbsp Alum (b)
6cups Sugar (c)
3cups White Vinegar (c)
1cup Sugar (d)
1cup Sugar (e)
1/4tsp Cinnamon Oil (e)
1tbsp Celery Seed (e)
1tbsp Dill Seed (e)
 
Instructions:
1.  This will take 13 days
2.  Day 1 to 7; Mix (a) ingredients together - be sure water covers pickles
3.  Day 8; Drain and cover with boiling water
4.  Day 9; Drain and cover with boiling water in which alum has been dissolved
5.  Day 10; Drain and cover with boiling water
6.  Day 11; Drain and slice or chunk pickles
7.  Heat (c) ingredients together and pour over pickles
8.  Day 12; Drain and reheat same syrup, adding (d) sugar
9.  Day 13; Drain and reheat same syrup, adding (e) ingredients
10.  Can as usual
11.  Note: It will get mold on, but that is okay. Just skim the mold off
