(One of Grandma's Favorites!) |

Ingredients: |
1/2 | lb | butter (2 sticks) |
2 1/4 | cups | brown sugar packed |
1 | can | Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk |
1 | cup | Karo |
1 | tsp | vanilla |

Instructions: |
1. | Melt butter on low heat |
2. | Add brown sugar and stir until blended with butter |
3. | Add eagle brand milk and Karo [put in thermometer] |
4. | Cook on medium heat stirring continually until reaches 246 degrees |
5. | Take off burner and add vanilla |
6. | Stir quickly and pour in 9 x 13 well greased (with butter) cookie sheet |
7. | Let cool- cut and wrap in wax paper |
8. | Hint: pre-measure everything - usually takes almost an hour to cook. |
