Chocolate Chip Cookies |

Ingredients: |
1/2 | cups | shortening |
1/2 | cups | butter, softened |
1 | cup | brown sugar |
1/2 | cups | sugar |
1/2 | tsp | baking soda |
2 | | eggs |
1 | tsp | vanilla |
2 1/2 | cups | all-purpose flour |
2 | cups | semi-sween chocolate chips |
1 1/2 | cups | nuts (optional) |

Instructions: |
1. | Beat shortening and butter |
2. | Add brown sugar, sugar and baking soda; beat until combined |
3. | Beat in eggs and vanilla |
4. | Mix in flour and chocolate pieces |
5. | Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet |
6. | Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. |
