| Chocolate Upside-Down Cake |

| Ingredients: |
| 1 | cup | sifted flour |
| 3/4 | cups | sugar |
| 1 1/2 | tbsp | cocoa |
| 2 | tsp | baking powder |
| 1/2 | tsp | salt |
| 2 | tbsp | melted butter |
| 3/4 | cups | milk |
| 1 | tsp | vanilla |
| 3/4 | cups | chopped nuts |
| 1/2 | cups | chocolate syrup watered down with 1 cup of hot water |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | sift together first five ingredients |
| 2. | add butter, milk, vanilla, nuts |
| 3. | stir until mixed |
| 4. | pour into greased 8x8x2 baking pan |
| 5. | mix chocolate syrup (watered down) over the batter in the pan |
| 6. | bake in moderate oven (350 deg) for 35 minutes |
| 7. | makes 9 servings, great with whip cream or ice cream |
