| Angel Food Cake |

| Ingredients: |
| 1 1/2 | cups | egg whites [room temperature] |
| 1 1/2 | tsp | cream of tartar |
| 1 1/3 | cups | granulated sugar |
| 1/2 | cups | granulated sugar |
| 1/4 | tsp | salt |
| 1 1/2 | tsp | vanilla |
| 1 1/4 | cups | cake flour (sift before measure) |

| Instructions: |
| 1. | Sift cake flour and 1/2 cup sugar three times [set aside] |
| 2. | beat egg whites until feathery |
| 3. | add cream of tartar and beat untill stiff but not dry |
| 4. | add 1 1/3 cups of granulated sugar a little at a time [1/3 at time] |
| 5. | add salt and vanilla |
| 6. | sift flour and sugar mix[1 above] into the whole mixture and fold in |
| 7. | pour in ungreased tube pan. cut like you are cutting a cake one time around pan |
| 8. | bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 65 minutes |
